About

Marion Renee — Artist, Maker, Designer

Marion Renee is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans mixed media, denim, jewelry, and intentional design. Her career is defined by eras — each one distinct, each one expanding her visual language.

She began as Fufulinda, creating mixed-media greeting cards built from feathers, glitter, lashes, humor, and Black feminine storytelling. These early works established her instinct for texture, play, and narrative.

Her next evolution, Marion Renee Wearable Art, transformed denim into a cultural canvas. She hand-painted clutches, handbags, totes, and duffles — each signed Marion Renee, MRenee, or MrWA. Long before social media made wearable art a trend, she was part of the first wave of Black artists using the internet as a gallery.

Her jewelry eras — 7BeadsStudio and later Earthen Reminders — deepened her exploration of symbolism and intention. These pieces were tactile, grounding, and reflective, often asking the quiet question that threads through her work: How are you casting your light?

Across every medium, Marion's signature remains the same: bold texture, cultural wit, and a devotion to hand-made storytelling. Her art is not about reinvention — it is about expansion. Each era informs the next, creating a lineage of work that is layered, expressive, and unmistakably hers.

Today, Marion continues to build in multiple mediums, honoring the legacy she began and the one she is still shaping.

That lineage continues here — every piece in this shop begins as an original Marion Renee painting, made to be carried by women who feel deeply and say so. Find yours. (Men's collection coming soon — join the list to hear first.)
